Taras Bulba

“Tara Bulba” is the historical movie based on the writer Nikolai Gogol’s eponymous novel. The movie is a “Romeo and Juliet” story that takes place in the late 16 century – Ukraine. Taras’s son - Andrei falls in love with the daughter of a Polish nobleman, setting up a stage of a clash among love, family honor, and a struggle for the national indentity.
